“The psyche will always try to heal. When we shine the light of attention and compassion on our wounds, that healing process accelerates.”

“Knowing oneself comes from attending with compassionate curiosity to what is happening within.”

Gabor Maté

My work is rooted in a trauma-informed, person-centered approach that honors your unique story and experiences. I’ve had the privilege of supporting children, adolescents, emerging adults, and college students through a variety of life challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, transitions, and relationship concerns. My goal is always to meet you where you are—with compassion, curiosity, and care.

My Approach to Therapy

Drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI),

Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, I tailor each approach to meet the unique needs and goals of the individuals I support.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a type of talk therapy that helps people understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, actions, and behaviors. It is often used to treat various mental health conditions, such as depression and anxiety, by teaching different coping strategies and challenging our negative thought patterns.

  • Motivational interviewing is an approach designed to help resolve the coexistence of opposing attitudes or feelings, such as love and hate, toward a person, object, or idea. Finds motivation for change. It focuses on empathetic dialogue and active listening to encourage and explore the reasons behind the desire for positive behavioral changes.

  • Solution-focused therapy (SFBT) is a short-term, goal-oriented approach that focuses on us finding solutions rather than analyzing problems. It focuses on strengths and future goals, helping to envision a better life and identify practical steps to achieve it.

  • Narrative therapy is a strong approach that empowers us to explore and reshape our life stories, particularly those who have been overwhelmed by challenges and emotional distress.

In our work together, you’ll find a safe and nurturing space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment. I understand how trauma—whether big or small—can shape how we see ourselves and the world. That’s why I focus on creating a calm, supportive environment that allows you to feel seen, heard, and empowered as we gently unpack the weight you’re carrying.
